I have been Head of RE, Pastoral Lead and Head of PSHE & Citizenship in my 19 year teaching career. I am currently Head of PSHE & Citizenship at a large secondary school 11-18. My shop includes: PSHE and Citizenship sessions, Assemblies, Tutor Time activities SMSC, Fundamental British Values and Religious Education. They are fully resourced RE or Citizenship lessons, worksheets or 15 minute assemblies/tutor time PSHE sessions suitable for 11-18 and some can also be used for younger audiences.

This was a PSHE session for tutor time for KS3-5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13) which is 10- 15 minutes long and contains videos, discussions and important messages for students about different religious and cultural practices and diversity. This could be used as part of the diversity element of the PSHE and Citizenship programme or could be used as an assembly. The students responded well to this session. There are no written activities and it includes a quiz to check learning and two downloaded videos that will never disappear. One video is about religious festivals and the other about non-religious festivals. This session could easily be lengthened to create a whole lesson for RE on the importance of festivals.

This is a 15-20 minute assembly or PSHE tutor time session for KS3, KS4 and KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13) about social media. It goes through the legal restrictions of different platforms, the advantages and disadvantages of social media and the addiction it can cause. There are discussion activities and videos but no written activities. The three short video clips are downloaded so will never disappear. The presentation will last approximately 15 minutes but can be lengthened or shortened easily to fit a whole lesson. This fits into the new Relationships & Health Education Curriculum, Keeping Children Safe in Education, Mental Health focus, SMSC & FBV agendas. Students reacted very well to this session.

This session involves teaching students what gaslighting is, how we can spot the signs and what support is available to them. It includes definitions, laws, information, adverts, downloaded videos, sources of support, discussion tasks and ends with a plenary quiz. It was originally planned as a 15 minute PSHE tutor time session for Year 9 but is suitable for KS3, KS4 and KS5 (Years 7-13, Ages 11-18) and can be used as an assembly or lengthened easily to last a whole lesson. It links to the new RSE and Health Curriculum and can be a pastoral tutor time activity; it does not contain any writing activities.

This is a two document package. One is a two sided powerpoint giving 60 PSHE tasks for students to do to keep themselves occupied and to learn about some important issues. This was originally used as a resource for when students were in lockdown at home but has been revamped as a resource with 18 tasks for pupils isolating or alternatives for students if they are pulled out of a PSHE lesson for any reason. There is also some mindfulness colouring in case students are struggling with an issue and just need some time out. There are also some links included to Oak Academy lessons that can be done as home learning. You will get both documents here in case you prefer one to the other or need both for the same purposes as I am using them. Suitable for KS3, KS4 and KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13) and many students have commented about how much they learnt and enjoyed these activities.

This is a selection of 25 lateral thinking tasks for discussion, debate, tutor time, PSHE or lessons. Students have really improved their discussion and lateral thinking skills as a result of these activities. They can be used to improve communication, debating, listening and thinking skills as part of the PSHE or Skills curriculum or part of a tutor time activity or assembly.

This is a 10-15 minute assembly about being an entrepreneur. It is suitable as an assembly, a tutor time PSHE, Citizenship or Careers session and offers a snapshot of entrepreneurship. It covers: Definitions of entrepreneur What personal qualities you need Thinking task about the advantages and disadvantages of this career A video about qualities of an entrepreneur A video about how to be an entrepreneur There are discussion questions but no written tasks. The videos are downloaded so will never disappear. This can fit into Careers Education, the new RSE & Health Curriculum, the PSHE & Citizenship curriculum and SMSC and FBV. Students received this session very well and interesting discussions came out of it.

This 15-20 minute presentation outlines some basic first aid for KS3, KS4 and KS5 students. It was originally used as a PSHE tutor time session. It is based on the BBC First Aid videos which only work in the UK and includes discussion questions and no written tasks. This follows the Basic First Aid part of the new RSE & Health Curriculum and teaches students how to complete CPR, deal with bleeding and shock and bone fractures.This could also be used as a whole school assembly to improve their health knowledge and PSHE provision. Students reacted very well to this session.

This is a 15 minute end of year assembly which could last up to 30 minutes. You can use the script if you need to narrate the PowerPoint or deliver it in-person. This assembly has some videos of hope embedded, some key points of the year, how to stay safe this summer and prepare for the upcoming year. This was originally a 15 minute assembly to Year 10 but can be used for any years from 7-13 (Ages 11-18). You can add some rewards on the end specific to your group or use just this to save yourself some time at the end of the year.

This is a 10-15 minute session about domestic abuse suitable for PSHE, tutor time, assemblies or as a longer unit on domestic abuse in a PSHE lesson. It includes sources of support, types of abuse, definitions, key information, downloaded videos and has a plenary quiz. This was originally planned for Year 9 during tutor time but can be used throughout KS3 - KS5 (Years 7-13, Ages 11-18). It is linked to the new RSE and Health Curriculum and can also be used to complement the Keeping Safe in Education guidance. This has been received well by students and has taught them how to seek help if needed.

This is a 15 minute session about the Plymouth attack in August 2021. It sums up what happened and introduces what the term incel means and what they believe. It has a downloaded news clip and discussion activities about gun laws. It also connects with Fundamental British Values and the UN Rights of a Child. There is no written activities, it was originally produced for a Citizenship tutor time session in September with KS3 - KS5 (Ages 11-18 Yrs 7-13). This is suitable for a whole school secondary audience as an introduction to incel culture and the tragic event in Plymouth over the Summer holidays.

This is a 10-15 minute narrated assembly about dyslexia. It includes a short downloaded video which will never disappear and defines the condition, how it feels and the benefits of dyslexia looking at famous people with it. It goes through the problems someone with dyslexia has but also focuses on the strengths of having dyslexia. It also shows the students common misconceptions of dyslexia and finishes with an extension video if needed. You can easily delete the icon on each slide if you do not want it narrated. This was originally an assembly for Years 7-13 (Ages 11-18 KS3, KS4 and KS5) but it is also suitable for KS2. It can also be linked with the new RSHE curriculum, the PSHE curriculum or a whole school tutor time resource. There are no written activities in this presentation but it can easily be lengthened if it is needed for a longer lesson.

It includes why people commit suicide, what are the warning signs and what support is available to support people considering suicide or people who want to help someone else who is having suicidal thoughts. It would be easy to lengthen this issue to an hour with this resource using longer debates and written activities. This fits into the new RSHE and the PSHE curriculum and can also be used as a safeguarding session or a one-off whole school assembly.
